jumpityjumpjump Posted March 30, 2024 Report Posted March 30, 2024 Hello! I found some dry dirty gravel and a cracked variant of the same in a underground ruin that I shoveled out and brought back to my base. I've previously had no problem panning in water with chert sand and bony sand, but this dry dirty gravel and the cracked variant of it does not pan. I cannot find any information about it. Is this a bug? Or an intended game mechanic with no documentation in the game Handbook or Wiki?
Gonnnn Posted March 30, 2024 Report Posted March 30, 2024 You can't pan that gravel, or the muddy gravel at the bottom of lakes etc. I don't think it's documented anywhere in particular
jumpityjumpjump Posted March 31, 2024 Author Report Posted March 31, 2024 Thank you for your reply Gonnn. I suspected this might be case, though odd it is not documented anywhere. I have to assume this is basically muddy gravel that is dried out.
ifoz Posted April 2, 2024 Report Posted April 2, 2024 The reason you can't is because these gravel types are special blocks that are only found in ruins. Maybe one day they will get this ability, but right now they aren't comparable to the normal gravel variants. They're mostly just for decoration.
