Hello, teachers! Does anyone know why what’s shown in the photo happens? It was the end of October, and I was out for a walk when I started to feel very cold. I went back home, but even inside, I couldn't shake off the cold, and it didn't go away until I died. Does anyone know how I can avoid it?

Bein inside doesn't necessarily warm you up. It only does two things - one, it removes the 25% hunger penalty from being outside in cold weather, and two, it increases the range in which a firepit warms you up.

But without a firepit, you have no source of warmth, so you'll still freeze.

The workaround for not having better doors is just to place two dirt blocks immediately inside the door, covering it over. Tear them down when you want to go outside again.

Or find a few eagle ferns you don't mind burning and warm up outside. A tree you don't care about is even better, assuming you prevent wildfires...

I have the most basic door that can be made, the very first one.

Sounds like you have the crude door then, which unfortunately those don't insulate from the cold. Having a solid door will keep out the cold(or, as @Thorfinn said, plunking a couple of blocks down to plug the hole), allowing you to warm up inside without a fire(in my experience), though it will be very slowly. The better option though is to just build a fire; there's a lot you can toss on to fuel it, and it doesn't need to burn too long in order to warm you back up.

Looking at your screenshots though, I would recommend investing in some warmer clothing. Pelts are easy to acquire and craft into warm fur clothing, which will significantly increase the amount of time you can be outside in cold weather.
