Kevin Eric Snell Posted December 31, 2024 Report Posted December 31, 2024 Is this a bug? Is anybody else experiencing this? I noticed this happening around maybe five or six times, but thought it must have been a mistake on my part. Now at least three times I've carefully watched as I eat a piece slice and got no hunger from it. Seems to be a very rare occurrence, maybe 4 or 5% of the time.
LadyWYT Posted December 31, 2024 Report Posted December 31, 2024 Are you playing with any mods? I would assume you're playing vanilla, but best to cover all the bases... I've not noticed any issues with pies so far. What kind of pie was it? If there is an issue, it might only be with a specific ingredient combination.

Is it perhaps what I did when I first started making pies, and you had already eaten most of it? It doesn't graphically change when there's only a few percent of the serving left. 1
Kevin Eric Snell Posted December 31, 2024 Author Report Posted December 31, 2024 No, it happens to freshly sliced pieces too. And it also happens regardless of whether I pick up the remaining slice or whether I use the knife.
StCatharines Posted December 31, 2024 Report Posted December 31, 2024 Very strange! Are you running 1.19.8 or 1.20-rc.6, and vanilla or with mods?
Kevin Eric Snell Posted December 31, 2024 Author Report Posted December 31, 2024 Vanilla 1.19.8 The other bug I noticed is panning doesn't work about 30 to 40% of the time. However, that bug is already reported on the issue tracker, so I know I'm not crazy there. The pie thing seems to be only me, apparently.
StCatharines Posted December 31, 2024 Report Posted December 31, 2024 I'm absolutely stunned that never cropped up for me in an embarrassingly long amount of playtime on 1.19.8 specifically. Is there any way to reproduce the issue? I'm intrigued to know if there's a trigger of some sort.

I'd think I'd have noticed the satiety since pie has become my standard food starting in late May to early June, but evidently not. You aren't triggering the bug from taking hunger damage? Don't know that affects food, but it wouldn't surprise me, either. I have run into the case that if my food level is very low, pie (and porridge) doesn't seem to be as filling as it should be, but, of course, I forget to look at the numbers next time it comes up.
Grummsh Posted January 1 Report Posted January 1 I think i had something similiar happen to me before. It was when I had a pie lying on a table and i sliced 2 pieces of it beforehand so it was half of the pie left. Then i think i sliced off the 3rd piece with a knife and the last ramaining one i didnt use a knife but simply picked it up. And that last one when i finally ate it gave no nutrition whatsoever. But i think i had this one long time ago even before 1.19 not 100% sure on that front though.

So we can probably rule out that being the culprit. 1
Kevin Eric Snell Posted January 1 Author Report Posted January 1 It's pretty rare, not enough to prevent me from making pies. Definitely under 10%, probably 5% or less, but it keeps happening, enough to annoy me. What finally prompted me to start a topic was when I stumbled home at 0% satiety, cut a pie slice, ate it and got nothing. It's pretty easy to notice a lack of change when you start at 0.
