idiomcritter Posted January 28, 2025 Report Posted January 28, 2025 got curious a bit on this myself. took me a vs moment to realize that elk are part of the vs deer family. currently the deer can not reproduce thru breeding/feeding sadly. (hence gaining a tamed elk reaching gen 10 maybe) wiki: Quote A domesticated elk may be purchased from a Treasure Hunter Trader. The purchase includes a saddle and bridle, and the elk can be controlled as a mount. Wild elk cannot be ridden or domesticated. See Animal Husbandry for overview of raising other livestock. 2

bosniak3 Posted December 12, 2025 Report Posted December 12, 2025 In version 1.21 it is possible to catch wild elk with a bigger trap and then feed it for couple of days to tame it.
