Found a "Block Randomizer" Block... looks cool...

While digging a ruin, I got excited and found a bright purple block over top a ceramic container.. I thought it was some special thing..

What can I do with this?

I found one, too! I think its supposed to randomly become something else.

I have also found some, when playing on unstable 1.20 versions and digging in ruins generated in 1.19. I think it was just object that did not change to chest or another loot, due to version change. Can be this an explanation also for your case?

It would be cool if we can somehow get it to do it's "Randomizing" and turn into loot

There's nothing you can really do, it's just a creative mode metablock used by the devs when constructing the ruins to tell the game to do certain stuff.
It was probably meant to become a cracked vessel or something, but bugged out.

I found one as well today.  It was in some blocks that were supposed to be part of some ruins.  There were also a few question mark blocks around it that didn't drop anything.  I took it home to add to the treasure room.

Frustratingly yes, there is a limit on uploaded media. I'm regularly adding images into posts but now Imgur has blocked all UK, I no longer have access to an auto-embed image source, I literally have to go through old posts and delete the images in them to post new ones.

Generally that is a sign that a mod is either broken or missing a supporting library.

You should be able to click on your username in the upper righthand corner of the forums, which will open a drop-down menu. One of the options in that menu is "My Attachments". Clicking that should take you to an archive of all of your current posted images, and from there you should be able to easily delete whatever you no longer want/need.

Yeah, there is a media section for your account.

The problem is less about there being a restriction in space, which is totally acceptable (you don't want people abusing it and throwing up 100mb videos), no the frustration is that the only domain that auto-embeds images is Imgur and it's entirely inaccessible to those in the UK. This isn't some "register to prove you are 16+", this is a blanket ban set from Imgur itself. It's an Invision board, not my favourite but I've admined and developed them in the past, and by default they do not allow you to place images inline.

Being a bit OCD, if I remove the image from an old post, to make room for a new image in a new post, then I feel I should remove the old post as well, after all removing the image will make it either incomplete or confusing.

the only mods im running are gui related except for resin on all sides.  nothing else related to blocks or extra items.  my world has over 250 hours in it though so it has been through lots of updates.
