Cool idea. Just imagine if you could also throw them!

throw them at a drifter who happens to be throwing a rock... this could be a competitive challenge(?)

This has me wondering, I've seen traders who buy wolf cubs, and I've seen traders who sell wolf cubs, is it possible to sell cubs you trap in reed baskets? I've only captured chickens and a piglet so far, although you can catch cubs, but it showed as the animal inside the basket, not as a separate item in your inventory.

Or is it literally a 1 to 1 trade, buy a cub then sell a cub, and the cub acts like a normal inventory item.

That's how it currently works.

Thanks.

Shame though, I thought I'd found a very lucrative, sustainable, trade.

Makes me wonder what the point of capturing a cub is, wouldn't it just attack you as it grew older?

There is wolf taming on the road map but wolf cub trapping made into the game along with trapping chickens, etc. But for now it has no practical use - other then what i did in one of my worlds to have a wolf kinda pet :D I build an enclosure surrounded with 2 tall fence, then captured couple of wolf cubs and released them into the enclosure. Eventually they've grown up and i had a wolf enclosure in my base.
