Jan1270 Posted March 1, 2020 Report Posted March 1, 2020 Moin, ich hätte mal ein paar Fragen: 1. Wie lange dauert es bis Items Despawnen? 2. Gibt es die Option dass beim Tod ein neuer Waypoint generiert wird? 3. Kann man einstellen, dass die Map an den stellen wo man schon war aufgedeckt bleibt? I have a few questions: 1. How long does it take that items will despawn? 2. Is there an option that a new waypoint is generated if I die? 3. Can I set that the map still remains revealed where I were?

But the VSHUD mod has an auto-waypoint-on-death feature. 3. Not yet. But in the future this will be the case. The way it is now, is simply because there was not time to implement a 'remembered map' functionality.

Thank you so much for adding the English translattion.
Jeremy McArthur Posted March 9, 2020 Report Posted March 9, 2020 I'm glad they are adding map remembered for many reasons. What I do for a death is just take a picture of the coordinates just a thought.
Kaelty Posted March 9, 2020 Report Posted March 9, 2020 Generally i'm ok with no remembered map, at least not at the start of the game. As long as you put a lot of waypoints on landmarks navigating ain't much of a problem. I tend to mark mountains, oceans or distinct terrain like desserts or marshes. Interesting rock formations or big caves are good points of orientation as well. You should mark the entrance to the cave you are entering every time so you can find it quickly if you die and marking ruins will give you an idea of what regions you allready explored sufficently. Making secondary bases can also help you gain a feel for your surroundings. If there is a route you are using a lot you might even think about building a stone path for the speed bonus, that would prevent getting lost as well. Also there is a deathpoint option in a certain mod, iirc the name was VSHUD mod.
Sparkle Kitti Posted March 9, 2020 Report Posted March 9, 2020 I like to mark cave openings so that I don't accidentally fall in while sprinting. Like I did when I sprint jumped and landed on gravel that then fell into the cave beneath it lol
