GoldenHermit Posted July 6, 2025 Report Posted July 6, 2025 Whenever I reach the second summer many areas start to be overgrown with birch leaves and shrubs. I liked the original scenery and I wish not every plane would eventually turn into a forest. In my current world I have chert and sandstone planes, and even those are now overgrown with birch leaves. I'm not really looking forward to stripping it all down just to maintain the original landscape. Is there a mod or a setting to reduce this? Is no one else bothered by this? I already set my world gen to have less growth by 25%. If there is anyone with suggestions/solutions I would love to hear them, thank you! ^^
Thorfinn Posted July 6, 2025 Report Posted July 6, 2025 Are they growing now??? Huh. Guess that's a reason to play a world a little longer. Never knew that was a thing.
GoldenHermit Posted July 8, 2025 Author Report Posted July 8, 2025 Oh, I just assumed they did but now that I think about it I never tested it properly. My bad! I think I'll just stick to trimming for now then. Thank you for your reply!

GoldenHermit Posted July 8, 2025 Author Report Posted July 8, 2025 True! I have more than I can count haha
Solution Maelstrom Posted July 8, 2025 Solution Report Posted July 8, 2025 If the bushes are just oppressively overcrowding your plains, might I suggest a... ummm... quick clearing option? It involves a torch and little a bit of time. https://tse4.mm.bing.net/th/id/OIP.IHZYuBWmuWm7iKt7CRpyBwAAAA?r=0&rs=1&pid=ImgDetMain&o=7&rm=3 Burn, baby, burn!!! 2 1
