Game music no longer plays.

I'm not sure what's going on but my game music hasn't played for a very long time. I'm on 1.20.7 for reasons of my mods haven't updated. I play on a server with a friend and they can hear the music just fine, but I cannot.

I can hear other game audio, but not the music. Here's my audio settings:

Not sure what the issue is but twice now she's mentioned "Oooh you can hear this track playing now!" and I'm like, "yeah...I haven't heard music in this game in months..."

Does that change if you up the Music Frequency slider back to maximum? Maybe it's some sort of error

A long time ago, iirc, there was an issue with music if you updated via a patch rather than a full installation - I could be misremembering the cause of the problem. In any case, it might be worth poking around VS Issues, both open and closed, to see if any of the past reports contain a solution to your situation?

Just to rule out this possibility--I know it's not due to some tracks being seasonal, as the issue isn't limited to seasonal tracks. 

The only solution that's crossed my mind is backing up files and doing a fresh install of VS, but that's typically the last resort method to fix a thing.

reinstalling it fixed the issues. That's all I could find for solutions even on the github.

Same here. Reinstalled and now I have menu music.
