NastyFlytrap Posted October 21, 2025 Report Posted October 21, 2025 My older world says it couldnt put it anywhere, and i dont want to generate it close to my house because its probably a location thats supposed to generate far away. Is there a way for me to check where it tried to generate it and failed so i can put it there manually? Or can someone tell me generally how it generates? In which biome/climate, how far from the center of the world, etc...

It's just a small compound that's roughly the same size as those trader camps you find on occasion, though perhaps slightly smaller. It's also not unusual for these treasure hunter shacks to generate within strolling distance of world spawn. Probably the most "realistic" place for manual placement is somewhere within walking distance of your base(so not right next door), in an open area so the trader could feasibly spot approaching threats as needed(so not in dense forest, though they can spawn there). I've not measured the structure specifically, but it should absolutely fit in a 20-block diameter area.

I looked into it a while back, and it's a very small radius. From worldspawn, I think you are correct. If everything in that radius has already been mapped out, it will fail. @NastyFlytrap, I think I'd just find a relatively flat space, about 60x60 (unless you know exactly where the chunk boundaries are) and spawn it in via the command.
