Bertazz0 Posted November 12, 2025 Report Posted November 12, 2025 I'm on a brand new game, and recently started farming with low fertility soil. On all my other playthrus i had medium or high fertility to farm with, but now i only have low because of some custom world settings. My question is: Is it possible to upgrade a soil with fertilizers? As in make my low fertility soil turn medium then high? If not, is there any mod who allows for it?
Solution Forks Posted November 12, 2025 Solution Report Posted November 12, 2025 Technically yes, you can add potash to farmland which will upgrade it to the next soil type, but it actually only improves the K nutrient. Aside from that you can only upgrade from High Fertility to Terra Preta, but assuming High Fertility isn't spawning your only other option would be to craft Terra Preta from scratch. You could try this mod, https://mods.vintagestory.at/tieredsoil , but it isn't updated for the current version of the game. 1
Maelstrom Posted November 12, 2025 Report Posted November 12, 2025 That must be a serious bug in the mod. Or the mod maker has some very concerning issues with masochism.
Bertazz0 Posted November 13, 2025 Author Report Posted November 13, 2025 If anyone is in need or interested, i have updated the mod myself, and you can download it by the following link: https://mods.vintagestory.at/show/mod/35267
