Death when inactive.

My biggest problem with VS, sometimes I stop playing (for some outside distraction) and I forget to pause or quit the game, I die from hunger.  I wish there was a timer setting that would quit the game after a certain amount of time of no activity.  I can understand why this is an unreasonable suggestion.  This is one of the main reason I die. I have played (single player) homo sapien for almost 1300 hours, and I am still in copper, so I am not the smartest player!  But I obviously like the game.

This is a very reasonable suggestion, especially as a configurable option. Kicking due to inactivity is a common thing across various multiplayer games, while in singleplayer it could just pause instead of outright quitting.

Sometimes I think I have paused the game, but then find I have died.  There is nothing wrong with the game but the senile player.  LOL

Well..well okay then, that's actually a reasonable suggestion, when put that way.

I can get how that could happen. In previous versions, opening the guide didn't pause the game immediately. The button was indented to show it was enabled, but you'd have to double tap it just to pause. I still find myself double tapping pause every now and again lol.

IMO/IME there is no chance whatsoever that your request will be incorporated in the base game.

Make sure not to sit before you go AFK. Hunger rate drops dramatically if you are standing still and have nothing off-hand. You can probably still starve, but it's quite a while. Never actually been AFK long enough to be sure, as permadeath discourages that kind of thing.
