bubnartar Posted February 3 Report Posted February 3 I just want to make a 3x3 tunnel though the hill! I don't want the even door fame sizes why do we have 2x2 doors and 2x4 why does it have to all be even? I want my door to my windmill to be inline with the shaft, and it cant just be a one by one, big door please. Why must I suffer.
Vexxvididu Posted February 3 Report Posted February 3 Hi and welcome to the forms. And I think it's always bad to ask "Why can't we have X" instead of just saying "I'd like to see X added" since game development isn't about denying people features, it's about creating them. You got to realize creation of every possible thing in Vintage Story runs into a heavy combinatorial explosion problem. They can't create every combination of everything... If you want these specific door sizes, lean to create them with a mod! 1

Svarrmir Posted February 3 Report Posted February 3 (edited) One way to achieve a similar effect without mods is to use a 2x3 door paired with a 1x3 door: Edited February 3 by Svarrmir typo 3

And this reminds me of old days in high school where the gate is exactly like this. The supervisors tend to close the bigger one and use the smaller side door as crowd control when pinpointing students late to school 1
Broccoli Clock Posted February 4 Report Posted February 4 There is a door maker, as part of the QP Chisel Tools. I haven't used it, and I am unsure if it would provide what you are looking for, but it might be worth checking out.. https://mods.vintagestory.at/chiseltools There is even a YT by Ursa Allen of it in practice.. 1
