Vyralator Posted February 20 Report Posted February 20 A while ago I remember having a very specific map in mind, that I wanted to generate and the parameters that you can set like Landcover and Landcover Scale all just felt very unintuitive (though this wiki page with the examples would have certainly helped if I had found it back then). So it was a very tedious process of tweaking the parameters, loading into the world, enabling noclip to fly around a bit and seeing if it looks like what I had in mind and going back to step one until I had something I liked. I was wondering if this process could be streamlined by having an optional map preview that you could display while entering the parameters. Something similar to what Factorio offers for example: So you could see at a glance how the parameters you enter, affect the world you'll get. I assume a possible counter to this might be, that Factorio's map generation is a lot simpler and in 2D, so generating a chunk of the map on the fly is very simple compared to Vintage Story, but I still wanted to throw the idea out there to see if it finds some resonance. 3
