markboi19 Posted February 21 Report Posted February 21 Yo! I've been messing around trying to make a Coke Oven with no luck. (I do have 6 mods loaded but only the; Alchemy + Chisel Tools affect the Recipe Selector, doubt it's an issue) The Wiki informs me that I require a 'Coke Oven Door'. Does anyone know how I can make one? Had a 5min look on the Forums and can't see much. The Anvil, Materials and Hammer are all Iron but I don't seem to have an option to craft the Coke Oven Door. I got the same result with an Iron Ingot and Iron Plate. I have also tried with an 'Iron Hatch Door' and the Multiblock structure doesn't recognize it, plus the coal just burns out.
Solution MKMoose Posted February 21 Solution Report Posted February 21 An iron hatch door is what you need in the vanilla game - as much is stated in the in-game handbook. There's a couple things you may want to check: Is the coke oven constructed correctly, with the right materials (fireclay or refractory bricks)? Are you using the right coal for it (brown or black coal)? Anthracite or charcoal won't work, though it doesn't seem to be mentioned explicitly in the handbook. Does the oven work correctly in the vanilla game for you? If it works in vanilla and not modded, then it's likely that one of your mods is causing it to break. If the coke oven is functioning correctly, it should have a bunch of gray smoke particles coming out from the top. 1 1

What a genius for such a way of conservation!!! Now that thinking about the other five doorless faces of the oven are identical, why not share the two side faces to avoid the confusion.
