caths Posted February 25 Report Posted February 25 Hi everyone, I’m currently playing on a world where 1 month = 12 days and I just planted 40 flax on highly and moderately fertile soil, adding bone meal. I already have 400 hours on Vintage Story, but this is my first playthrough where I’m doing farming myself (before, my friend handled it). I just realized that since I planted on August 4th, I might not have enough time for my flax to fully grow before late autumn (though honestly I’m not sure). And since the layout of my fields isn’t optimal space-wise, I can’t just build a greenhouse over them. Do you know if I can recover the crops/seeds at stage 1 to move them into a greenhouse?
V1ncent Posted February 25 Report Posted February 25 The vanilla crops do at least give back the planted seed at whatever growing stage. This also applies to the wild crop.

Thorfinn Posted February 25 Report Posted February 25 (edited) Used to be 70% chance of getting the seed back. Have not looked at 1.22 yet. Don't plan to, at least until I think I understand how the world works by experimenting. [EDIT] This means you don't have to decide right now. You can wait to see if your winter will come late enough. Or just harvest the ones you need to in order to put a greenhouse over the rest. Edited February 25 by Thorfinn 2
