Repaired static translocator doesn't work

So I found and repaired a static translocator, but when I step on the square it doesn't teleport me anywhere. Game version is 1.12.8. Any suggestions?

Did it say anything when repaired? It should say something like warping space time. I believe that's when it finds a suitable link, it takes a few minutes.

Yes, it does say "warping spacetime...". I thought that means it is ready to go...

How long does that link-finding usually take?

If I'm right about the game finding a link and generating the terrain on the other side, the process should be as fast as your computer is. For my laptop it takes about 3 minutes, but a faster computer might take 30 seconds. It will tell you when its done if you just hang around.

I have definetly waited longer than three minutes. Is there any way to fix this? I really would like to use this translocator since it is pretty close to base

Fix that worked for me:

1. Stand on the translocator pad.
2. Delete it from the world.
3. Give yourself another broken translocator and the parts.
4. Place the translocator and repair it.

Server commands:

/gamemode 2
# (stand on the translocator)
/we clear 1
/gamemode 1
/giveblock statictranslocator-broken-north 1
# (also -south is an option, but how to tell?)
/giveblock metal-parts 2
/giveitem gear-temporal 3

I've done this several times. I've waited several ingame days. Nothing works. My translocators refuse to do anything.

To anyone who finds this thread through a web search (like me right now), what helped me was exiting and reentering the world so you might not need to do all that!
