ijkdenem Posted yesterday at 12:10 AM Report Posted yesterday at 12:10 AM Will every be possible to have potted cactus/crops/berries/herbs? 1
ijkdenem Posted yesterday at 12:10 AM Author Report Posted yesterday at 12:10 AM i want this so bad!!!!!
ijkdenem Posted yesterday at 12:12 AM Author Report Posted yesterday at 12:12 AM also do the cactus have any edible parts like the flower or a fruiting part on it? i seldom ever found them so i was curious about what use they even have if any besides biome cosmetic details?
EnbyKaiju Posted yesterday at 12:58 AM Report Posted yesterday at 12:58 AM I for one would love to have potted fruit plants If for no other reason than I want a tiny little cherry tree in my house that blossoms when the ones in the rest of the game do, so I know when it's sakura season, 44 minutes ago, ijkdenem said: also do the cactus have any edible parts like the flower or a fruiting part on it? i seldom ever found them so i was curious about what use they even have if any besides biome cosmetic details? The only edible part of the cactus is the fruit, which regrows, but you can't cultivate. You can bring in the little cactus & silver cactus to put in planters/pots though to look pretty. I think pretty much the only edible plant you can put in a pot is mushrooms, and they go bad if you try to take them out later (no idea why) 1

They could easily do it the Japanese way where they stack wet logs in a pile, plant the spores in holes in the stack and let it grow. Sounds like something that could be really interestingly included, but given the pervasiveness of mushrooms in the game as is it would very much be a "you have to want to do this" thing rather than a necessity to keep fed. Not unless they tweaked mushrooms to not grow back as fast or be as common anyway.
