ijkdenem Posted Monday at 04:36 AM Report Posted Monday at 04:36 AM if i make a world BEFORE you update to the newest stable version and i got bushes FOUND or AT BASE or IN STORAGE will they still work like the OLD bushes or will they be garbage and not be able to be placed or picked up? will they get the traits or just be default no trait bushes? will the OLD bushes even still work or will they be bugged out and my garden ruined? i probably got more questions but i forget what they are at the moment but i think you see the kind of crap i am worried about.
ijkdenem Posted Monday at 04:38 AM Author Report Posted Monday at 04:38 AM tending my berries was always fun but if all my bushes get fugged i will be so pissed so i hope that they at the very least get left alone when the update rolls out.
Dilan Rona Posted Monday at 09:21 AM Report Posted Monday at 09:21 AM From what I understand, bushes that existed in the world before 1.22 will still work as before. But you cant get new ones, even in creative mode. 1
williams_482 Posted Monday at 11:22 AM Report Posted Monday at 11:22 AM You can test this by making a backup of your world, then going into your world in a 1.22 prerelease and placing your stored bushes to see what they do. 1

Old-style berry bushes become legacy blocks, and the player won't be able to obtain more through the creative menu. The legacy bushes can still be picked up and placed as normal, and will still operate according to the old berry bush rules, which means they won't have traits, produce cuttings, or otherwise require any sort of care. 1
