Hello, I'd like to ask about crops: when, for example, will they add potatoes or azuba? There aren't many crops yet. I understand that game support is a labor-intensive process, but I'm interested in when the crops will be updated.

Dunno. When it comes to specific crops, it's up to the devs on what they want to add and when.

Technically, crops received some updates in 1.22. Grain crop yields were halved, in exchange for making the wild grain crops spawn in bigger patches. Berry bushes received some new types, as well as major changes to how they operate, including a new trait system, growth system, and cultivation system.

If you're talking about farmland crop variety specifically though...like I said before, it's entirely up to the devs.

potatos have a significant historical importance, so i believe adding them to the game would be pretty cool.

kind of makes me wonder why they werent added in the first place? I can imagine there might be some balancing issues, but it seems weird considering how widespread they are.

but seeing more crop types added would be a VERY welcome addition, cant go wrong with more crops!

I would like to see more vegetables, and as many have said it's weird there are no potatoes in the game - I get the devs are Austrian, not Irish, but still.

For me a lot of the farming is vibes, I rarely need to lean on it heavily for food. So I'd like to see visually different plants. Say like a pea/bean plant that uses a trellis of some sort. There is already one crop in the game which actually spreads past its planted block, and that's pumpkin which will grow horizontally adjacent. Switch that to vertically, and you could make climbing plants. Lovely.
