Edwin_Blacktallow Posted May 21 Report Posted May 21 Hello! Its been 6 Months since I last posted about my Village project but I haven't stopped working on it! (Too see my original post check the bottom of this one) Building all this in survival has been tough, running out of blocks and realizing I need to spend a good few hours prepping materials before I can get back to building has been hard, but the hard work is worth it! I've expanded the crafts district with a general purpose store house. When I made this build I thought I would just be filling space and barely use it... But its become the center of my building work, I store most of my tool and all building materials here. Its currently central in the town too which is very handy. I also build a Tavern, Lavenders Rest, I do all my cooking here and chill out inside on stormy nights. Then I built a dock, Its smaller for sure but I think I've managed to layer a lot of detail in such a small spot. And just down the road is a small textiles shop where I store flax and clothing I find in ruins. Just opposite that is a stable for my Elk. I've got a lot more to show you but struggling with the image limit on the forums If anyone knows a work around that please let me know 8 2
Whimsical Fool Posted May 21 Report Posted May 21 Its all so cozy! I can see how much work you put into every small detail is so cute! 1
Rainbow Fresh Posted May 22 Report Posted May 22 What type of rock did you use for the tavern? Is that chalk, white marble or the new 1.22 one?

The Tavern is built from a mix of conglomerate and granite cobble stone. The colours are close and blend well which give better texture. Second floor is light brown wattle and daub. And the wood I use is Walnut. This is all in 1.21. Hope this helps
Rainbow Fresh Posted May 26 Report Posted May 26 For no nefarious IP theft purpose of my own, I am counting from the screenshot on your tavern both the lower stone floor and the middle floor have 3 high walls. Is the basement just a two-high cramped space or did you use some other magic to have a floor between them?

I'm using half blocks for flooring so the ground floor has a 2.5 block height (Although you could chisel these thinner if you wanted, I personally like the cramped cozy space). The second floor is a lot more spacious with only a small attic room bringing the ceiling down on the long section, but most of the space is open. I was going to post these screen shots at some point anyway, now is as good a time as any. Hope this helps, if this build inspires your own please share, would love to see what you come up with I'm planning on removing that wooden cube holding the chandelier in place with some chiseled dark brown wattle and daub to mimic a wrought iron chain. Really happy with the roof beams, this took a lot of wood but is worth it. Interior decoration is a work in progress as I find more treasures in the world. Edited May 26 by Edwin_Blacktallow 1
