LedZeptallica24 Posted May 31 Report Posted May 31 Is there anyone else who seems to be having issues with pig/sheep reproduction? I have both (grey/mouflon), and all say they're ready to mate, but there's no progression beyond this state. I even broke and replaced the troughs in my sheep barn to maybe reset the food status, but still, nothing. I know that one of the changes was making > gen 3 pigs/sheep no longer hostile, I wonder if changing that code screwed with their reproductive behavior. Trying to get a consensus before I post this as a potential bug, thanks!
LedZeptallica24 Posted May 31 Author Report Posted May 31 Update: Mouflon are pregnant now. Seems as though the interval between 'ready to mate' and 'is pregnant' may have been lengthened significantly.

I've noticed some oddities in the status displays before, like an ewe still showing as pregnant while her lamb is right there next to her.

No, I had them in separate pens while I bred them up to generation 10 to deal with the aggression. There were lambs in adjacent pens and I checked to make sure they were still there and hadn't phased through the fence, and she was no longer showing as pregnant the next time I checked her.
LedZeptallica24 Posted August 21 Author Report Posted August 21 I've learned more! The ewe must consume 10 servings before she is even eligible to become pregnant, despite what the information panel tells you about her being 'ready to mate'.
Jarulf Posted August 23 Report Posted August 23 (edited) Somewhat related question; Do males (boars and rams) have to be in the same pens as their prospective brides? I have them just separated by a fence, but there doesn't seem to be any amorous interactions. I play a 30 days month save and know it sometimes tales while, Edit: And two minutes later the ewe is expecting. Edited August 23 by Jarulf
Demoncyborg Posted August 23 Report Posted August 23 the males do have to be fed at least once as well to mate, as far as i remember
