Lempo Posted June 16 Report Posted June 16 ive put a bunch of hours into a 1.22 save and just realised that the world hasnt been getting all funky during temporal storms, i checked the settings and the glitch strength waviness is set at 100% which im assuming is default since i dont remember ever touching it before. did they remove it recently or is my game just bugged?

I wouldn't rule out bugs or mod interference, if you're playing with mods, but the first thing I would check is the storm strength. Light storms are relatively mild and don't have much visual distortion, and are also the most likely ones you'll see towards the start of the game. If the world is still fairly new, it's more likely that the storms just haven't gotten strong enough to produce the really funky effects yet.
Slam Posted June 16 Report Posted June 16 I’ve have seen “glitching” waviness in 1.22.3. disregarding the question and just about the waviness in general, I wish it didn’t effect the middle of your screen so much, so I can shoot things, and clay/smith things. Also, with only the outside of your screen waving, it’d kinda be turning, like a cog, so that’d be cool.
Lempo Posted June 16 Author Report Posted June 16 im currently in the third winter and there have been a bunch of strong storms so far. i only have a few mods, chisel tools, hud clock, substrate, and temporal gears stack, i assume none of those should mess with this. i guess ill have to pay more attention next time a storm comes through, maybe im just blind
Lempo Posted June 16 Author Report Posted June 16 went into a new save and advance time a bit until i got a heavy storm, still no waviness going on for me.
Solution Lempo Posted June 16 Author Solution Report Posted June 16 (edited) well two seconds later and i figured it out, for some reason the storm waves are attached to the waving foliage setting which i had turned off. the waving foliage setting also gets rid of the same wavy effect when eating psychedelic mushrooms Edited June 17 by Lempo 1 1 1
