Lost a stack of ground flint, anyone else experienced this?

Has anyone else had items disappear from their inventory?

Last night I was grinding fired flint to make refractory clay. I had smelted and processed two stacks of flint, and I definitely ground both of them. After that, I got distracted doing other things, like putting hides into borax.

When I finally went back to make the refractory clay, I only had one stack of ground flint left, even though I should have had two. I searched all around the area where I had been working, but I couldn't find the missing stack anywhere. >=(

Was your inventory full at any point?

You may have accidentally dropped that stack on the ground somewhere, and then after 10 minutes it would have despawned.

It wasn't completely empty. I only had a pickaxe, a knife, a bowl of cooked meat, and my hotbar wasn't full. I also remember having it in my inventory before I started doing the other activities.

Powdered Flint looks similar to Powdered Borax - did you maybe get the two mixed up?
I've done it before and tore my hair out looking for it lol
Maybe go back and check where you keep your leather-making items - it could be hiding in with your borax/lime
