RationallyParanoid started following prevent grass texture spread to specific soil blocks

I'm not sure how to go about this so thought I'd maybe ask on here? I really like the rich brown colour of terra preta and high fertility soil, and want to keep that colour for my berry cuttings and flower beds. I know you can plant flowers on tilled soil but you can't plant cuttings, and I'd prefer not to till for my flower beds if possible. The problem is that the green grass texture slowly creeps back over the soil. The only way to keep the blocks the colour I want involves chiseling them, which then makes them useless for planting things on. I don't want all the soil blocks to stay brown, just specific ones I designate. I have absolutely no idea how to implement this, as any modding I've done has been simple texture pack tweaks from TOBG. I think maybe a recipe would be the way to go but then again I've got no clue rip Any thoughts on how to do this, or anyone willing to make this happen would be greatly appreciated

That willow design looks so nice!!! I'm excited to see what other flora and fauna is going to be added in the future. As for logos, there are aspects that I like from all of them. I think I'm most partial towards Bravo 2A, but I also really like how front and center the gear is in Alpha 4B, and how the tree trunks are separated and one is clearly decayed in Alpha 1A. I'm looking forward to the combat overhaul, as I personally don't like engaging in any form of combat currently with how it's implemented. I'm also interested to see what other weapons are going to be added (maybe pole-arms, daggers, a flail or whip, a lance for when you have the elk?) Keep up the great work

It will be interesting to see how they implement crocs and hippos in the future (pretty sure I saw a post with some animation demos they were working on) I will have to give up my hobby of diving for shells when they finally implement those menaces... buuuuuut croc armour would be really really cool

As a millennial struggling to gain footing in the housing market, my dream home Jokes aside, I'd love to build some of the key locations my players have visited in my DnD Homebrew world. So much cool/outlandish architecture *sighs*

NilHero - delightful childlike glee when running into new mechanics/creatures/situations TimmyTwoNipples - generally just a good player and also quite funny Solstin - his Eisenholm series is fantastic and also ongoing - can't wait to see what he builds next Kurazarrh - great for first time players who are trying to learn the game, has a long "Desert Life" series with some dope builds RubixRaptor - if you enjoy unserious roleplay servers with "lore" and longer form videos MajongBlonsky - really chill Czarls - makes beautiful, detailed build tutorials -
Ooooh I really like this idea. Perhaps a compromise with the surface instability is that it's "uncommon" or "rare", which would be exciting when you actually stumbled across it because it would mean there was a going to be something cool to go find beneath the surface. Perhaps tie that in with the procedural dungeons they've been working on?

"It's your journey. It's your world. You can do whatever the hell you want with it." When I first started playing Vintage Story, I went into the world settings and configured everything to my liking, because the game allowed me to do that. When I encountered things after world spawn that I didn't like/found too difficult, I found a command or mod to counteract it (knapster and juicy ores my beloved). Temporal stability, storms, and rifts got turned off because I wanted to explore and build first so I could understand the basic mechanics. I turned them back on with longer times between storms, storms being shorter, and sleeping during storms turned on. I have bells removed from the game entirely via a mod because I find the noise they make jarring, and creatures are set to passive. You have options (many of them), so you should use them. Certain options not available that you specifically want? Start learning to mod or put in a mod request. Just because the base game doesn't suit your particular play-style doesn't mean that the mechanics are "holding the game back". That's a bit silly.

Exactly what it says on the tin, folks! I recently went through my first medium temporal storm in my new forever world, and only drifters spawned. The previous storms graced me with drifters, bowtorn and shivers (absolute banger parties they were). Is this a rare occurrence in game? I'm on v 1.21.5 I do play with mods, but the only thing that affects spawns is that I have Bells turned off (hate the blasted things and the noise they make).
