Does the type of Linen square matter for boatbuilding?

I have undertaken the task of making a sailboat and the time to get all the linen is now. I recently found a commodities trader who sells linen squares but they are in diamond weave pattern not the normal stitches that I have made already. I know all the wood type for the boat must be the same. Are they interchangeable for the boat recipe or have I just wasted my gears?

It uses a wildcard, so any type of linen works, and you can even mix multiple types in one sailboat.

tested it and yeap, works completely fine with diamond stitch and others

if for whatever reason you need to convert them without being a tailor, if you use any stitch as a cheese cloth it'll revert it to normal stitching
