Mark Watton Posted Tuesday at 08:37 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 08:37 PM Are you the sort of player that needs an excuse to explore? Make this one easy mistake, and you'll be committed to your 8 hours of work until you build an outpost somewhere else with a really good excuse to go exploring every day! 1
CastIronFabric Posted Tuesday at 09:20 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 09:20 PM I personally will not let a fictional temporal stability dictate where I can build in a fictional game I turn it off 1

Kreeate Posted Wednesday at 01:03 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 01:03 AM (edited) Temporal nonsense are for people who think that actual survival is not enough of a challenge. Maniacs to be sure. It has been written... Somewhere... at least I think so... I even feel it in my bones... sometimes. Edited Wednesday at 01:05 AM by Kreeate
Moltrey Posted Wednesday at 10:20 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 10:20 AM Eh... temporal levels are part of the VS lore; if it bothers you then turn it off. Yes, it is one more thing you need to keep an eye on when choosing a build location. Honestly it has frustrated me now and then when I find a promising location and the old gear is turning CCW, but- thems the breaks. I get that some folks don't like things being dictated to them. At least you can choose to disable it. 2

Hanril Posted Wednesday at 03:19 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 03:19 PM I feel like there isn't much nuance in those low temporal stability housing environments, so right now it's pretty much just there. If it featured something exclusive to these zones, like terrain anomalies, crafting or growths, then maybe it would be more interesting. For now I see only potential.

I have to hide in my windmill to escape the ground that whispers of rot and rust. 1
PARTIZAN_E Posted Wednesday at 05:09 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 05:09 PM You can build mob farm near bedrock and get unlimited amount of temporal gears, you just need few pickaxes

Zaph42nd Posted Thursday at 09:10 PM Report Posted Thursday at 09:10 PM Yes low temporal stability is annoying, but I don't hate it either since it gives you an excuse to leave your base often and potentially invest in Jonas devices... Granted there's not really a device to counteract stability loss so much as there's one to mitigate rift-spawns which helps a bit. As others said, low stability also has the unintended side effect of making rust creatures more common so not bad for farming their drops. Still, for a base you plan to stay at for a long period of time, better to go somewhere with higher stability, low stability areas aren't bad as outpost points though or for rust monster farms

Chuckerton Posted Friday at 08:51 PM Report Posted Friday at 08:51 PM (edited) I simply do not believe in temporal stability. Incomprehensible knowledge? I dont get it Edited Friday at 08:52 PM by Chuckerton
