Are you the sort of player that needs an excuse to explore? Make this one easy mistake, and you'll be committed to your 8 hours of work until you build an outpost somewhere else with a really good excuse to go exploring every day!

I personally will not let a fictional temporal stability dictate where I can build in a fictional game :)

I turn it off

I have a bad habit of being a base body, so it's really a silver lining for me lmao. "Ah, darn... I gotta go outside for a bit..."

Temporal nonsense are for people who think that actual survival is not enough of a challenge. Maniacs to be sure. It has been written... Somewhere... at least I think so...  I even feel it in my bones... sometimes.

Eh... temporal levels are part of the VS lore; if it bothers you then turn it off. Yes, it is one more thing you need to keep an eye on when choosing a build location. Honestly it has frustrated me now and then when I find a promising location and the old gear is turning CCW, but- thems the breaks. I get that some folks don't like things being dictated to them.

At least you can choose to disable it.

You can also work around it by building a tower. Go high enough and it stabilizes.

I feel like there isn't much nuance in those low temporal stability housing environments, so right now it's pretty much just there. If it featured something exclusive to these zones, like terrain anomalies, crafting or growths, then maybe it would be more interesting. For now I see only potential.

I have to hide in my windmill to escape the ground that whispers of rot and rust.

You can build mob farm near bedrock and get unlimited amount of temporal gears, you just need few pickaxes

Yes! And in my experience this one is most efficient:

Shameless plug

Yes low temporal stability is annoying, but I don't hate it either since it gives you an excuse to leave your base often and potentially invest in Jonas devices... Granted there's not really a device to counteract stability loss so much as there's one to mitigate rift-spawns which helps a bit. As others said, low stability also has the unintended side effect of making rust creatures more common so not bad for farming their drops. Still, for a base you plan to stay at for a long period of time, better to go somewhere with higher stability, low stability areas aren't bad as outpost points though or for rust monster farms

I just build an unnecessarily tall tower to hide in, lmao.
