GhillieEilish
Ever chuck a spear at a bighorn, only to have it run off into the bushes, never to be seen again? My suggestion is to add foot prints (hoof prints, paw prints, etc) that are persistent for a short time that will allow you to follow running prey through dense foliage and terrain, or get the drop on a napping wolf. Would make hunting slightly more realistic too, in my opinion.
Astrayo
To add to this, if whatever you're tracking is hurt they should leave a trail of blood as well.
GhillieEilish
Absolutely. That way I don't have to dig 2x2x2 pits under a sheep I want to bag lol But more for the immersion. Irl if you wound an animal, you must track it and finish it. Can't do that if it leaves no trace of having been there

An improvement to arrows and spears would be nice too, like perhaps to allow them to stick into enemies and cause bleeding. Just something to make them more useful, because it probably wouldn't/shouldn't take 3-5 arrows to kill a rabbit, even if they're flint. But baby steps for now.
