Sengorn_Leopard Posted January 24, 2021 Report Posted January 24, 2021 The polished stone slabs have a line in the middle of their tops. This is quite annoying because i wish to make floors from polished stone, and using slabs would greatly help being efficient in material. But the seam in the top surface ruins it and makes them look quite ugly. Couldn't polished stone slabs have the same smooth texture that the full block has?
l33tmaan Posted January 24, 2021 Report Posted January 24, 2021 I disagree, I make ceilings out of polished stone slabs and I think the lines look great!

Yup, it was that way and it looked better to me as well. You could also use them for a couch (polished basalt slabs for cushion and pine slabs on the sides), but now with that line it looks weird. Not sure why that was changed and I can't come up with a good reason why a stonecutter would add a line to an otherwise perfectly smooth polished slab. @redram @Tyron What happened to the polished stone slabs? ^^
l33tmaan Posted January 24, 2021 Report Posted January 24, 2021 Maybe we could have a compromise. You put the hammer + chisel + polished stone vertically to make the slab with lines, and horizontally to make one without it?
junawood Posted January 24, 2021 Report Posted January 24, 2021 Might be an idea. Then I'd also add an option for two crossing lines for four smaller square "tiles" and not only one line for those two long rectangles.
