I can't log in to the game itself, when trying to connect when entering exactly the correct data, just writes that the password is not correct!
I also tried the mail an
d the Displayed nickname as well.

Try uninstalling your game, going to "https://account.vintagestory.at/" (it was really slow for me), and reinstalling the latest full version.  At first, I was unable to update in game, and after manually updating from 1.18.8 to 1.18.10 I began to get the "auth" error as well.  Reinstalling fixed it right away!

Well, now I'm f*. I uninstalled the game, and now it gives an error message when I try to login on https://account.vintagestory.at/, saying that my e-mail and/or password are wrong. I already checked 3 times, it is correct and I can't login to download the game again.

Vintage Story servers have been under a brute force hacking attack this past day or two, trying to guess user accounts and passwords by using data from security breaches on other websites. It's quite likely that login issues stem from that.

Well, I finally login successfully, but not using Google Chrome, I had to use Microsoft Edge and downloaded the game. Now it's logging in normally. Didn't know about the hack attacks though, that's really sad.

I am fully willing to believe this, despite this being the first I hear of the problem. I play the game with 2 friends over Vintagehosting and our server on there has been crashing repeatedly too for the past couple of days. The error is much the same as the login error shown here, speaking about being unable to reach the auth server.

There were a couple instances for a few hours each time that servers were having issues for multiple reasons. Some of which was a DDOS attack. These have since been remedied and should all be back online normally. If your server is not, please make a support ticket providing as much information about your issue as you can.

So I tried everything on this comment section but it now won't even let me into the download part, because I can't remember my password, and my email address is not getting the password reset.  I used the same email for my game account and my online account, so can anyone help.  I don't know if there is a typo in the email I made for the game, and I don't know how I would find that out.

Note: I have already created my game account.

I realize this is an old thread, but one solution that worked for me was changing my "game account" password to a different one than my "browser profile account." When I had initially set up both I made each of them use the same password. Changing the game password to a different one fixed my issue instantly. Whether or not this will fix everyone's issue is uncertain, but it seems the game launcher has some way of knowing the passwords of both accounts and this throws an error when the passwords are the same.

Hopefully this helps.

Technically, this is an archive, so not really monitored for issues. Like it says in the description, use the issue tracker instead.

In this case, I think I'd just submit a support ticket. Most of the time its because someone does not realize the client login and the forum login are different, but of a handful of people I've known who had issues that sound like this, they all got resolved within a day or so.
