Simples way I found is to raft around for a while if you really can't do the other options. Works in a pinch when one sneaks up on you.

It should be in exactly the old spot that the terra preta was in before for comparison. RNG can play a heavy factor.

Not sure if it helps but "mischiefofmice" is one that I found you start in a Limestone biome which can be a difficulty to find as well. No idea if it meets your other requirements though.

They don't see you because they consider the glass to be blocking line of sight due to it being a solid block. If you have some chiselled openings in it they may see you then. To avoid drifter spawn in the pit, add bright light sources like wall torches, a lot of candles, or lanterns at the bottom.

There were a couple instances for a few hours each time that servers were having issues for multiple reasons. Some of which was a DDOS attack. These have since been remedied and should all be back online normally. If your server is not, please make a support ticket providing as much information about your issue as you can.

What version are you on?

Here's an example of one I have set up that drops a Lime colored marker on the spot I'm standing at named "?" - I then can open my map and edit it further if I want or just keep going as I just marked a point of interest.

Check your maximum Discords. You can only have 100. You may be at the maximum and have to leave one to accept another.

Try going into creative (/gm c), opening inventory to see the creative items list and search for trader, grab the one you want, spawn them, delete the trader in your hand by dropping it back in the creative inventory, then go back to survival mode (/gm s).

It may convert the name to Tera Preta but it doesn't convert all the stats of it to the same as Tera Preta, it just exceeds a single stat maximum for High Fertility soil and then renames it. Go into creative and add a bunch of potash to it and you'll see it doesn't change all stats. Technically, the best way to go is to still start with Tera Preta and add potash from there to at least make it really really good for some crop types.

Here's something mind blowing. It's not actually chunk based. You are likely looking at the chunk map from the Prospecting Mod thinking that it is. It's purely location based.
