Ambulate In Somnis Posted April 1, 2022 Report Posted April 1, 2022 Maybe someone mentioned but what about fishing? A pair of fish such as salmon or carp plus a regular rod...
Yeetiee Posted April 1, 2022 Report Posted April 1, 2022 Hi. Fishing is already on a roadmap: https://www.vintagestory.at/roadmap.html/ I recommend you to check it you"ll be positively suprised about devs plans for the game.
Anthony frailey Posted April 3, 2022 Report Posted April 3, 2022 (edited) Fishing outside of "primative mod," is a need ... , which the primative nod is "ok", but does extra changes to the vanilla experience , that new players like myself are greatly "lost" as , we've not fully explored what was possible in sraight up play in the first place... of that makes sense? Garjouan Posted April 10, 2022 Report Posted April 10, 2022 I am hoping for fishing, too, the sooner the better. Especially if we could get different ways to fish, and different fish to catch: In rivers or seas and oceans (even better if there was a way to get actually flowing rivers), as well as weirs and the like to catch e.g. lobsters and crabs. You could also make shellfish and mussels a thing (and while you're at it, snails). Especially in the early "hunter and gatherer" game that'd be a vast improvement and and some variety.
setne550 Posted April 13, 2022 Report Posted April 13, 2022 Same. I know it was in the roadmap, but I'm surely it will be implemented eventually. Either fishing via the rod or just hit it with a weapon.
Maelstrom Posted April 13, 2022 Report Posted April 13, 2022 I'm willing to bet the Ocean update will be a general water update, including rivers, fishing, boats and other water related mechanics.
YangKoete Posted April 14, 2022 Report Posted April 14, 2022 Spear-fishing'd be fun, but also primitive fish traps'd be a good idea to make with more reeds.
