Walking speed and how long is a day?

Hi, I try to find informations about the walking speed and the length of a day in real time, but I can't find it.

How long is a day in realtime and how fast did a player walk in blocks per second or per minute (with default settings)?

The day length is two RL minutes per ingame hour, so 48 RL minutes for a full ingame day.

As for the walking speed - no idea. Hop into a creative world, set up some markers, and time it with a stopwatch?

That's the alternate option, but I'm currently not at home to try it. If no one else has an answer I will try it later.

Ok, I got some numbers. I think the numbers have an accuracy of +/-1.

Without 10% speed bonus (e.g. commoner)

• walking: 204 bpm (blocks per minute)
• running: 408 bpm

With 10% speed bonus (e.g. hunter)

• walking: 224 bpm
• running: 449 bpm

All data without guarantee.

Seraphs are pretty dang fast!  Considering that Olympic sprinters cover 400 meters in about 43 seconds (557.75 meters per minute).  Further consider that Seraphs are typically lugging around up to a couple hundred pounds in their packs...

Does that mean the walking rate is about 10k blocks per in game day?

(208 blocks)/(1 IRL min) = (408 blocks)/(1 in game hour) = (10k blocks)/(1 in game day)
