  1. A new version is out. 1.3.37. Changelog: Fixed Primitive Adze missing tool chisel attribute.Fixed Mortar and Pestle recipe.fixed shovel iron recipe.Added scaffolding recipes using Very-Thin branches.Also alternative recipes with Leather strips.Change Branch stack to 64 units.

  3. Version 1.3.27. Fixed a serious bug where wolves were killing each other. Added sword and axe as tools to get a head trophy from dead animals. Tweaked bamboo saplings. Increased adze durability.
  4. Updated to 1.7.8, This is the same modpack used in the Darkagecraft server.
  5. Version 1.3.26 is out. adds alternative recipes and balance to sisal spawning.

  10. The first Challenge Mod. This mod is intended to be used in conjunction with The Neolithic Mod. It actually depends on it. The Neolithic Mod adds all the tools and blocks you need to survive and prosper in the Stone Age. But what The Totem Mod add to your playing experience is the spiritual part of life. Before you can progress in the game you have to prove that you can, not just survive, but actually thrive. Farming is what gave the first humans enough food security that they could dedicate time and effort to develop metallurgy. To make things a bit Interesting I created the Totems. For now, we have the Pig Totem. The pig is a symbol of wealth and food abundance The mod has several stages that have to be followed. Attention the Totem is not movable. Choose wisely where you will place the Totem. The first step is to make a Totem: To make one combine a Boar Head Trophy, A Boar Pelt, A Log and an Adze in the crafting grid. Like this: Place the Totem. Now start to you need to make an offering bowl like this: just any log and any adze in the crafting grid. Once you have the bowl you need to fill it with food. The first food is fruit, like this: just combine the empty bowl and a full stack of each berry in the game, blackcurrant, whitecurrant, blueberry, cranberry, redcurrant. That will give you the Fruit offering Bowl. Now, right click the totem with the fruit offering bowl in your hand. It will change the existing Totem into a new totem and it will keep the bowl: Time to farm for vegetables, again in the crafting grid get a full stack of each vegetable in the game with an empty bowl: that will give you a vegetable bowl. Now right click the totem with the vegetable offering bowl in your hand. It will change the existing Totem into a new totem. Time to really hunt. collect 2 full stacks of each healthy meat: Mutton, Pork chops, Chicken, and Hares. Make a meat offering bowl like this: to get the meat bowl. right click the totem with the meat offering bowl in your hand. It will change the existing Totem into a new totem. Time to bake, you need 2 stacks of each bread in the game: spelt, rye, flax, rice: that gives you the bread bowl: right click the totem with the bread offering bowl in your hand. It will change the existing Totem into the final totem: After all that, you can right-click with clay in your hands to get a crucible. You can make as many crucibles as you want.   11. Awesome. I for one can thank Balduranne for all the hard work she put into creating beautiful shapes and textures. Without them, we would not have The Neolithic Mod. Thank you Balduranne, you are Fantastic.
  12. Yes. Installing this mod on an existing world will have Unwanted consequences. This mod replaces all the animals, it also replaces Bamboo generation, And introduces 2 new plants, Sisal, and Giant Reeds. We strongly recommend creating a new world.
  13. A new Update for the Mod, version 1.3.16 is out. The Sleeping Beast Update. All animals have a sleeping mode, predators are nocturnal animals and so, they sleep by day. All other animals sleep by night. Predators can smell dead animals and carrion, so be careful when you hunt. They will even wake up if they are hungry.
  14. @Nemo The update is ready, I just did not have the time to edit the post and release it. Also I was hopping for an official release of the Game update to 1.7.4, as it fixes a small glitch with the animals. As for an NEI/JEI feature, it is way above our capabilities, I would, however, ask you to make a suggestion in the forum or to ask Tyron in the Discord.

  17. A mod will work on subsequent game versions. Until it gets broken. There is no way to predict if a game update will break a mod or not. But "The Neolithic Mod is so big and changes so many areas of the game, that any major game update will for sure break it.

  20. My wife just really loves those SyFy B movies. Sharknado, Shraktopus, Anaconda. I have so much fun watching her, watch those movies.
  21. NO SHARKS. The only thing they do is to make underwater off limits to all players. If sharks behave in real life the same way they do in modded Minecraft, humans would never have explored the oceans. I live in Florida, and there have been swimmers bitten by sharks. It happens every year. Let's say the chance is one in a million swimmers a year. Not sure about the exact numbers. But I definitely do not want a mob that makes swimming prohibitive. I want to have corals and fish, but no shark. There is no defense from a shark when you notice it, it is already killing you.

  23. My answers: NEI/JEI - I may be wrong, but I believe the causal player may get frustrated really fast for not knowing what to do. An in-game way to show the player what the item or blocks he has can be used for and how to obtain the items and blocks he wants is a priority. World Gen. But not just in the sense of Nicer mountains or having oceans. In the deep sense of having more stone types and better distribution of ores into specific stone types. More tree types, but at the same time not all available in the same place. Vegetation exclusive to biomes and temperatures. The same for animal life. Mechanical Power - Specifically, because I believe is an Eye catcher for any prospective player. Everyone loves Mechanical power, and it would make easier for Moders to work on top of it and create their own blocks and machines. I wish I had one more pool, so I could vote on the things that should go to the bottom of the list. Improved Playstyles (Peaceful exploration mode, Hardcore survival mode) - Not really a priority for me, Unless we would be talking about just a config page with sliders on world creation. Villages, Trading, Quests, Story, other kinds of NPC Interactions. - Some abandoned Villages would be nice. Do not really like the idea of trading with NPC's, and for some reason, I think it is a lot of work to make NPC's that work as intended. I think it will be great to have them. But they can wait for other features.
