  1. A signpost is cheap, crafted with a plank and two sticks, but you need a saw Others have left great ideas too with the flowers and packed dirt and camp fires, just gotta find something that works for you. Also, if you have abundant cattails you can use those for crafting torches as well
  2. Personally I would just throw it away and use commands to give myself back the resources
  3. Geez! I didn't know they could be that big That's kinda horrifying I've been pretty lucky in that regard so far, except this one spot on my current world, I found this AWESOME area, super abundant resources; flat, tons of animals, large oak forest nearby, tons of cattails, lots of crops and berries everywhere, lots of red and blue clay, peat fairly nearby, etc etc etc. It was by FAR the nicest area I've come across in all my playing.... And it was very temporally unstable But at least it's only a few hundred blocks or so, so even tho I can't live there (big bummer) I can still gather resources
  4. I really don't understand the point of cheese, it seems totally not worth it to do all that work and wait all that time for something with so little satiety. It seems like the only benefit is shelf life, which doesn't seem worth it. And the fact that blue cheese is more difficult to make and yet has LESS satiety is just bonkers. But I've never personally made cheese so I'm just going off what I've read and heard; perhaps I'm missing something
  5. I stumbled into the same type of thing in my most recent world, which has been by far the most awesome world I've had so far, so it's still in the game. This type of thing is ALL OVER, many GIGANTIC underwater caverns, it's really neat, and a fun way to find different rock strata and ores. Excellent world generation! Excellent game!
  6. Would also be neat to have a companion planting mechanic Happened to notice Hypnotique reacted to your post, and I've been watching her videos lately, small world
  7. Darn it, I bet it's already been patched out But if not
  8. That's very sad, especially since 1) at least in mine and many other people's experience the game is very stable and 2) backups could've prevented this problem. I've only experienced crashing one time and it was after an update on a unstable version and the crash was caused by a mod NOT the game and it didn't cause any other problem. I wonder what was actually causing the problem, because this is certainly not the norm Many times people blame the game even tho it was actually a mod or user error, but it's easier to just bust out the blamethrower Hopefully you can figure out what the real problem was and a solution so you can enjoy the game. Also, backups, whether you're playing this block game or the other block game, backups are your friend
  9. I'm wondering why I've never seen this dude in my game I've been through plenty of temporal storms and yet I've never seen him
  10. Would love to be able to seal crocks with resin tho, that would be cool
  11. They added a way to stop the nether vines from growing, yet somehow haven't found a way to make it work for regular vines? Mojang sure is helping Terraria and Vintage Craft gain new players with their silly updates, lack of common sense, and refusal to ACTUALLY listen to the community
  12. I think that's a great idea and makes perfect sense. It would also be cool to use leaves for compost since in real life leaf litter is one of the best composts, but then they would need to add a way to harvest the whole leaf block, plus there are SO many other, arguably more important changes and additions to be made
  13. Very helpful to this wolf bait, even all these years after it was posted. So glad I discovered this game, absolutely AWESOME
  14. Don't know about Ebony specifically but the crates recipe was changed and seems to be working fine now
  15. Unless I'm just dumb and missing something crates STILL don't work in the stable 1.19 release
