  1. Bowthorn can be quite an irratant. Especially when they manage to hit me without me seeing them at first. And I am used to ground level attacks from Drifters. Once I see them though, I dispatch them, or at the very least chase them away a good distance before running away from them. As for the Shivers, they are cute/annoying. Dont pay them much attention at first, as I do enjoy their antics a bit, before killing them. Drifters imo are still a greater threat than Bowthorn or Shivers.
  2. found my deposit of red clay half way up a mountain, topped with glacier ice.
  3. Hopefully one day, there will be oil in the game as well
  4. prefer a medium trumpet myself
  5. Used both a clean, and a residue covered cooking pot. And I got sulphiric acid in both cases. So I dont know what happened in your case, other than maybe a mod conflict that overrode the vanilla recipe.
  6. Really? Only saw one bear so far, and half the time the wolves doesnt seem as aggro anymore. In fact they run away half the time (leaving the poor pups behind). I've seen more aggresive behaviour from pigs when I am near a piglett in fact.
  7. its more the meals allready in crocks, and that was sealed that I lose to spoilage.
  8. wish i knew where that server was. i have a problem of over 'hunting'. between the pit traps i have (that mostly caught wolves, and the occational pig or so), and my animal farm (bighorns, pigs, rabbits, and a few chickens), I have enough food stocked up, I loose it to spoilage, due to not enough mouths to feed, and all wanting to go independant. More than once I actually have to stop myself from hunting, and try to finish what I have stored first before I loose everything mid summer.
  9. best solution is to make a second one really. one for cooking food, and a dedicated one for making the resin glue.
  10. Prefer playing with 30 days. Come winter, I have a well stocked cellar, and lots of crocks with sealed food. So I can survive winter relatively comfortably, and not worry about food. Higher temperatures tend to catch me with food spoiljng outside winter though.
  11. How do I re enable the crash log window as implemented with 1.19.x and older? The lack of a crash log window is really starting to bother me now.
  12. dont know so much about using flint for the recipe for fire clay tbh. its allready at a premium as it is, and I always prioritised using flint over other knappable stones for stone tools in the beginning till I can get to the bronze age.
  13. wasnt even aware that exploit existed.
  14. Sorry, it was a wrong link i posted. i did make an edit with the right link, and later reposted it completely. Was hoping I caught it before anyone else saw it, guess I was wrong @Thorfinn
  15. https://mods.vintagestory.at/butchering Maybe that will help you a bit.
  16. 2 chapters so far
  17. If that is the case, how do I revert the change locally assuming there is a command line option?
  18. As per the title, I am not seeing the window when the game crashes. Been 2 occations now where the game crashed due to a mod that was installed, and it just crashes without opening a windows to show logs of what the crash could have been. As what 1.19.x, and older did
  19. no use keeping the test server online then. will have to wait for the problem to be resolved for now
  20. I whitelisted my username on the server for 1.20, but keep getting the following error. Unable to connect to auth server: State Error, Error msg 'The request was canceled due to the configured HttpClient.Timeout of 10 seconds elapsing.' I stopped the server, started it again, and relogged into the client again, still get the same error. And it is not a whitelist error.
  21. Started off watching Youtube videos, and felt I was ready for what Vintage story could throw at me, and boy was I wrong. Had by butt handed to me within the first 5 minutes, mostly wolves, and one or two bears. Not to mention the drifters. Took a few days to get my bearings ingame, and it wasnt until I followed the ingame tutorial that I really got a handle on the game. Never forget that tutorial if you are new to the game.
  22. Chisel bag to contain chiselled bits. Turn an existing block into bits that go into a chisel bag. Chiselling table for chiselling. The ability to start a new chiscelled block from scratch. The ability to save, load, and copy existing blocks from templates to make rapid copying of regularly used blocks. Suggestion can wait for 1.21 or 1.22 for implementation in VS, considering the existing design workload, and other ideas to be implemented with 1.20

  23. Nothing wrong with them imo as well. Prefer a medium trumpet myself. on every character I create in fact.
  24. i had the same problem on 1.19.4 tbh. 2 seconds after creating a new character, and choosing a class. lol
  25. I keep mine in the VS directory, under a profiles sub directory. And I would recommend keeping the datapath, and modpath inside the same profiles directory. As per the example below. My system being Fedora. Just adjust the path as needed. ./Vintagestory --dataPath "./Profiles/1_20/Data/" --addModPath "./Profiles/1_20/Data/Mods/"
