Has anyone else have the entire mechanical system crashing player clients when loading chunks they are in on my server no one can make windmills due to anything dealing with the core game mechanical system crashes any client in chunk loading distances

My crew is having similar issues. And we have so far narrowed down to the base game mechanical system. As in the gears axels clutches those things. Just attempting to build windmills are crashing us in 1.21.1 anyone else having this specific issue

ok, just found more details on what my issue actually was it was this mod specifically https://mods.vintagestory.at/show/mod/23330 when I deleted all those files it reset the mod back to bottom right I prefer it in center center but due to the nature of the mod at the moment, if its center center and you pick something up it blocks all mouse operations until the notification clears off the screen

I didn't go through all the replies, may have already been mentioned, but here's a tip from me be sure to get your food situation sorted out before winter time, when winter comes, food will be extremely hard to find if your running vanilla vintage story, even if you do have mods in the game to help out with the food situation, you still need to prepare for the winter either way with food. another tip is, be sure you don't build a wooden place near a fire, or even near flammable stuff, it will for sure go up in flames in seconds if it catches fire when I first started, wood is yes easy to get easy to build with and make a shack with, but lightning hit my wooden shack and it with all my chests(10) full of storage went up in flames and reset my entire weeks worth of playing back to 0 in seconds, so be sure to at the very least not keep your storagehouse in a wooden are or in an area the fire can spread to and take out

ok. got my issue resolved solution not sure which one did it but here's what i just did deleted all Cache, that's number one(eventho I've done this multiple times already anyways) next delete all ModConfig files delete all ModData files delete the files... clientsettings serversettings servermagicnumber those 3 files are just note files with data in there and the game will just generate fresh files without the older data, so if you've already deleted all old mods updated then put in new mods these files did have old mod data still in it before I deleted them then I loaded back into my server and now everything is operating how it should I'm guessing there was data somewhere in one of those areas that was still latched to 1.19.8 and was causing issues in 1.20.12 when it came to picking stuff up and having a action delay after a pickup, that even halted combat for me if an item got picked up during combat i would not be able to attack for those about 5 seconds

do note this issue is on my Windows 10 pc tower i just did a full reinstall of everything and issue still persists ive updated the game on my Linux laptop and it does not have this issue, it appears to only be on my windows tower

ive got about 100 mods on 1.20.12 for my server mostly adding more difficulty and items to craft and whatnots primitive survival and from golden combs are my main 2 but i have alot of others plus around i want to say 15-20 client side mods aswell

I've searched google and the forums but cant find any info on this does anyone have any know ways to remove the break (action) delay after you pick up an item, also effects picking up additional items if you don't pickup fast enough, its about a 5 second delay and its halting productive progression for me, I never had this issue in 1.19, but now on 1.20.12 it seems to be an hardcoded feature, I've tried several pickup mods and none seem to remove this break(action) delay at all 2025-07-19 17-28-28.mp4

Does anyone know how to get a new entity to load into the world? i cant seem to get the mod im trying to get to work to load the entity and the wiki guide seems to be outdated because even that entity doesnt load even when modified or unmodified

anyone know why my meta spawners drop down menu is black?

Had this happen to one of my players. It so happens that somehow they got reverted to an older version of the game. And the server was on the latest version(1.19.8) so it got them stuck at downloading 0 mods until they updated back to game version 1.19.8 to be the same version as the server

i got it fixed found out finally in the discord that i needed to increase didnt know i would have to increase my atlas even farther to 16384x16384 to fix my issue i was at 8192x8192 Thanks for a quicker reply than the gameplay help of the discord

these everyone else on the server sees them as their normal textures as you can see in hand an inventory but i see the broken textures ive tried reinstalling the game ive cleared all game data and reinstalled ive even tried playing on an entirely different computer with an entire different operating system and the textures are still broke ive even tried single player and they remain broke 2024-07-27 21-18-31.mp4

at some point they changed the wood planks the image due to the old way the planks were id and the now new planks we are no longer able to craft the wooden variation of the axles in wood blocks the stone blocks seems to be working just fine, ive only found the wood planks to be the issue well it appears i cannot insert pictures in a comment but the issue is with the wood planks, the recipe requires planks with horizontal formation on the sides but we are only able to craft planks with vertical formations on the sides current mod version of 1.0.19 on game version 1.19.8
