  1. Forget I responded. I am not trying to bait you into getting yourself banned, even though I dislike you, every game owner should have the right to post here. Going back to ignoring you.
  2. Gee. I wonder how that happened
  3. Of course you do, because you are the poster boy of the players around here who think anyone who plays differently than you is wrong.
  4. 1.21RC5? It's a known bug. Hopefully fixed already for next version.
  5. You forgot, permits are a great way to squeeze extra money out of us without raising taxes. Remember, money grows on fees!
  6. Absolutely love it. Unfortunately it's true.
  7. Well then we'll know who to blame...
  8. Well, we know why the tide pods. For a while it seemed like everyone was eating them. I'm sure there is a story behind the Dremel...I'm also sure I don't want to know... Don't forget electrical appliances that have to tell you to plug them in first. In a finer moment of "malicious compliance" I actually got so pissed off once when writing instructions for field engineers that I even included pictures and descriptions of the various types of electrical plugs and sockets.

Or pay another player to come and chisel for you...where's that Italian guy I was talking to the other day?
  10. It seems like the area around the spawn is unstable, maybe to encourage the player to explore a bit, or is it just happenstance?
  11. @cosmobeau I thought it was just a generic RPGish Minecraft clone. I mean I had heard of it, but like you said none of my friends were talking about it. I had been looking forward to it on the backburner, like a bunch of other games just like it that have also mostly turned into vaporware. Was there even anything new or unique enough in their IP for anyone other than the owners to care?
  12. There is a mod that lets you use bushmeat in recipes. I was using it for a while but I found that it just takes away any real incentive to hunt anything but wolves and bears if I can use it for stews and pies.
  13. Yeah, I don't know how much use it would be for VS, but that is another great feature, letting Steam broker the connections instead of having to exchange IPs and fwd ports and handle authentication. Just click on invite a friend to join your game and boom done.
  14. Oh, yeah, I guess if you just want eggs then there is no need for a breeding program.
  15. "How finished/playable is this game? We consider Vintage Story to still be in early access, not due to its lack of stability and performance, but because our full vision is far from implemented. The game is fully playable and offers rich and varied gameplay from the Stone Age through to the Steel Age, including a number of story elements. The game is being developed with a carefully planned release cycle to always offer very stable gameplay. As for its completion - we cannot really put a time on it because we see no reason not to keep adding new content for many years to come. That being said, going through the main challenges alone should easily offer at least 100 hours of engaging gameplay." They don't consider it done. That implies they intend to continue to work on it. I don't care to play shithouse lawyer with you enough to go look through Steam EA disclaimers, or argue it past this post, so you can have the last word, but even if it isn't explicitly stated, it is pretty much implied. You are paying for access to the game as it is, with the expectation that it is going to continue to be updated and you will continue to receive those updates for no additional fee. Otherwise we start calling it abandonware.
  16. Wrong. Go back and look at the terms you agreed to when you handed over your money. ROI has nothing to do with it. While it's a good way to console yourself over buying a game, especially if it happens to fail or even just no longer meets your expectations when out of early access. I don't think I have ever seen ROI mentioned in an EA disclaimer. You are paying for an incomplete game with the reasonable expectation that it gets finished. While it is always said that if you aren't happy with the game in it's current state, maybe you should wait to buy it, because shit happens and it is a gamble, if we make excuses for every developer that doesn't finish a game, we are left with nothing but vaporware and half-finished garbage.
  17. Considering they keep adding new bugs, it's more like how many more rc's do we expect to see? 1 step up and 2 steps back, such is the life of a software developer sometimes.
  18. What I posted is, yes. It's been reported by other people as well on the tracker.
  19. How dare you use logic on me just because it is stated clearly in the title! Yeah, ok, you got me there. Still, it's good to do both. Why would you want your old gen still taking up food and breeding?
  20. I have heard it impacts performance, especially the higher the view distance, the more effect it has. It also looks terrible. Even worse on the water in your barrels and still, which will stop moving if you turn this off.
  21. "You are dead, because fuck you! Press 1 To rage-quit, 2 to start over."
  22. @Echo Weaver Well the generation culling is kinda the point of this design. As far as your problem, easiest solution is probably from the door you use to get in, make a fenced run back to the pen and chase them out that way. @JessieImproved I think the troughs are good, at least at the distance I guesstimated them from your SS. You may need to go into the pen to scare the chicks down, but it is good to be able to fill the troughs without spooking the hen when she is broody.
  23. Yeah, I don't know what the devs have against fishing, maybe because it is risk free compared to hunting. I really only fish when I am desperate anyway, red meat is just better in every way.
