  1. Best there is, is combat overhaul. But, the hitboxes can be the most janked thing ever.
  2. They aren’t purely natural for one. The weapons got a flavor text, and it explains a bit of what they are.
  3. I agree with you with the sword statement. And, mob attack patterns. Animals don't have arms or tools like us, so they natural lung more so they can bite or stab ya. They feel janking rn.
  4. That would help. But, like, vintage story is based of real life techniques. So what did you think that it would ruin a pot. But, yeah, that would be handy. (I never had that happen. Totally
  5. I do enjoy this suggestion. I do not want to repost mine. But, I would like to add two points I would think make combat better. A sidestep or back-step. It would consume hunger depending on the armor worn, and the amount of space moved depends on the armor worn. Stealth: I think a stealth mechanic should be there for, range assassin combat players, and non-combat players who want to sneak about. And that, the current combat system and even other systems, the keys feel disjointed. Like a tower being built on without for-thought. I notice this a lot due to me playing for a few hours. Biggest grip is, right click is not shielding. There’s no swap to offhand key. And, certain actions feel so off I dislike it. Spear throwing should be: m2, then using m1 to throw. Because I am forced to throw spears on accident. Swapping any key binds make alot of conflict. Block is crouch. This killed me. I think parry should be, parry is a must, is m2 for block and m1 for a parry. Overall I like this suggestion.
  6. I think adding stamina would ruin it for the general community. I rather have combat be more a dance, rather than hit and holy damn my stamina is low. A flow of actions. Combat for me rn feels to clunky and like if the controls were already used, so they had to replace it with something else. Good combat can help pve and pvp. Make set weapon classes and how they function. Thrust and thrown to spears. Swing and slash for swords. Shields block and parry (blocking shouldn’t be sneak, it kills me in my soul. It should be M2. Parry should be holding right click and then left click. This can reflect a attack or stun a attacker.) Side step should be added (But my opinion) and is effected by movement speed and take hunger on armor worn. Also add sneak gaming into the game because I get auto locked on too often. I just want to use a bow and crouch and pick something off, and not have in X radius so sniped. The game is fun, but it’s so scaled towards progression and building. That when I want to do combat, I literally can’t without the clunkiness removing me from it. Tl;dr I want to stealth and non-clunky combat. The key binds are cluttered and seem to be, we already used X key for this, so throw it to this. - Edit note, I want (Maybe F) to swap something into my offhand.
  7. I think, if possible, heavier shields would need to use crouch to use. But, lighter shields can be used with needing to crouch. So you can raise it up, since using crouch for a crude shield feels finicky. And, have a quick hotkey to swap items into the offhand. Because in combat I don't have time to grab a item with my mouse, swap it over, and then fight.
  8. Thats their house now, you gotta file with the local police station to get them out.
  9. Why when I am in the dark, there is little dark ball that if I look at hottips that it blurs them out
  10. I changed my crouch and run keys. So it says ctrl+m2 to place stuff, so I tried and my bar kept blinking. Till I tried using shift+m2 and it placed. So I am just wondering if thats supposed to be baked in. (Nevermind, but it was doing that till I reset and rebinded)
  11. So, I am new. I was just fiddling around and was having fun thinking I was all powerful after crafting a knife and ax. But, right as I was checking the Help book (Lord all mighty, my savior) I hear sound. I ignore it, too invest in my readings. Then, a roar, then I am dead. I hear the bear desecrating me as I am devastated at the lost of my items. Its growls mocking me as I respawn. I stood there and sped run my tools again, grumbling to kill that bear (I will never find it) and killed a bird. Threw rocks, snipping it with smugness. - My first day playing the game.
