Im looking for people who are interested in contributing to a project about starting a server that would not only be deeply historically based, either in a particular setting or with a myriad of historical settlement options, but also would back this up with serverside mechanics similar to those used in Geopol servers in the other block game. This would require a custom made server side mods to be made for the server, along with other immersive/balance specific mods regarding which setting is chosen. A custom map maker is already in the works so thats no worry but modellers, modders, animators, and or really anyone interested in a project such as this would be welcome and could definitely contribute no matter your existing skills.
The long term vision is for eventually, to have server run wars and sieges that would be accurate to the setting of how they would play out. For example, if the setting is 1300s France, to attack a settlement, ideally, you'd want to set up a siege camp and starve out a fortress rather than just endlessly charge at it. This would be incentivized via multiple gameplay mechanics like intensified starvation or something of the like. Along with this, larger pitch battles could be done where multiple sides agree on a time and place, bring a lot of people, and use real world stratagems with a custom combat system that would be tailored to line combat to fight out for supremacy on a battlefield. This alongside peacetime options to create a Kingdom or some other state and other mechanics to encourage building setting and period accurate villages/cities/castles or any other such thing.
