That's such a weird bug... Are you using any mods? What version are you playing? Have you managed to resolve it? Maybe try reinstalling the game? I figure something must've gotten corrupted.

That's why mods exist. There's Salt and Sands that solves the issue with lime: https://mods.vintagestory.at/saltandsands And there is Quicklime in Kiln that offers better recipes for quicklime: https://mods.vintagestory.at/show/mod/5380 -
