  1. none of this is really the point, I'm just pointing out an inconsistency in the visual models. Except I guess if you made the stair model level with the path block, then they wouldn't tile properly when you have stairs going up multiple levels. So there would have to be some neighbor rules determining the final stair height, depending on whether the next block is stairs or a path block.
  2. Hell, even making it more like Minecraft would be an improvement. At least in minecraft single missing blocks of water source would get filled in automatically if neighbored by other source blocks; in VS you have invisible gaps that will constantly make annoying noises until you manually fill them in by searching for the particle effect. Minecraft: - water source blocks propagate to fill gaps (allows for infinite water, fixes annoying gaps) - picking up water source with a bucket removes it (actual water transportation) If you wanted to be hardcore, you'd add #2 and not #1 to VS, but it would be kind of annoying since water physics is too lacking to handle the gaps it would make to remove water from a source location. If you just wanted convenience, you'd add both, since that makes fluid pickup slightly more immersive while still having the option of duplicating water source blocks.
  3. Some juices cannot be sealed in barrels if they are in amounts with a non-whole number of (0.01 L) increments. For example, you can seal 4.1 L of blackberry juice, but not 4.11 L, even though the recipe is one-to-one. But it is not consistent, as you can seal 4.11 L of black currant juice. In the guide, the recipe points out that 10 mL of black currant juice turns into 10 mL of black currant wine. The same entry for blackberry juice says that 0.1 L turns into 0.1 L of wine. Which is why you can't an extra 0.01 L in the container. This is very confusing and makes no sense, most people would just assume you can't make that wine unless they dug around in the help pages and figured out why the math doesn't add up. You will almost always end up with barrels of non-round numbers of liters, since the conversion from stacks of berries to juice goes from powers of 2 to multiples of 10.
  4. I made a charcoal pit, checked it was airtight, and that it was quietly smoking. According to the guide it should be done in less than 1 in-game day, but after months it is still smoking with no end in sight. It is only slightly bigger than the minimum size (2x2x2), does size even affect the time it takes? If it wasn't sealed properly it would probably burn away more quickly than that, and make fire sounds, right? Is it just bugged? Are there some subtle restrictions on what shape the wood has to be in (e.g. perfect rectangles)?
  5. If you swap a tool with a replacement in your "strong back" extra inventory slots, the durability display gets bugged, with a duplicate of the old item's durability showing up on the new one.
  6. I think this bug might be related to this mod, specifically when you have the huge stomach perk. Basically the game forgets what your max satiety is every time you eat / drink a small quantity of food and takes a few seconds to equalize, making the hunger bar jump around wildly.
  7. It would be nice if smithing products like plates with different quality didn't auto-stack, kind of like how different freshness of food items affects stacking behavior. Kind of sucks to pick up a "normal" metal plate and have it auto-stack with your masterwork iron plate, halving its value.
  8. I think there may be some intention behind the mechanics, namely making it so that relocating to faraway lands is gated behind some early progression, but it needs to be communicated better. Something as simple as having some kind of gate or portal model at the location where you spawn would quickly teach the player that there is a physical spot in the world where they will spawn, and it will take effort to change it. Right now you just reappear with no explanation other than "because Minecraft".
  9. Does this game actually have path finding of any kind? If so, water should simply be treated as an obstacle by animals.
  10. Currently the two blocks have differing heights, so there is a ridge between any stone path stairs and stone paths. This doesn't seem right and looks ugly, please fix it.
  11. yeah it only happens when eating meals. For instance I can eat a 1% serving of porridge with a 3/4 hunger bar and suddenly my hunger bar is completely full for 10 seconds, then goes back to 3/4. It has also happened that I somehow ended up with satiety above the maximum and it never drained at all for days. Way past the satiety bonus I think.
  12. I am a bit confused by the hunger bar. Whenever I wake up, and sometimes after I eat something, the scale of the green hunger bar seems to change wildly (ticks get closer together or farther apart), and in the character screen the max satiety is changing. Often I will end up with something like 2000 / 1500 satiety. This sometimes leads to my hunger bar appearing to get emptier when I eat food. What is the cause of this? How can I have satiety greater than the maximum? Is the max satiety somehow affected by conditions like temperature and when you last slept, or the nutrition in the food you last ate? Or is it a bug where the game is momentarily forgetting I have the huge stomach trait?
  13. It would also be nice to be able to open the search back to the page where you left off when you press "H", complete with the "back" history. Or have a different hotkey for resuming in the help page.
  14. The ocean is literally covered in floating chickens, pigs, wolves, you name it. They seem to have no inclination to stay on land, causing them to diffuse across bodies of water and just float there. I think this is a great opportunity to improve on Minecraft which also has this issue due to its dumb mob AI and improve the immersion of this game. Not to mention it's all but impossible to loot carcasses that fall to the bottom of the ocean. EDIT: I realized there's already a thread for this here. Anyway it's clearly a big problem that causes loss of wildlife on land.
