Just feels... inadequate compared to modpacks that involve TFC+

Cherry Pies, or How I got my Nickname: The Queen of Hearts, she made some Tarts All on a Summer's Day It is our second year in our multiplayer server, and as our resident hunter and wanderer, I have been exploring for a long time, marking fruit trees and occasionally taking cuttings. While some of those have taken, most don't (darn 40% take chance...wish different fertility increased the chances...) so we still rely on wild fruit trees. However, one bit of joyous luck is that we have a wild cherry tree literally not even a hundred blocks from our front door. And then three others within a quarter day's walking distance. I, being the hunter that I am, have taken to gathering these fruits while astride my trusty elk, Prancer. ....He was originally Silver's, don't blame me, okay? At any rate, we had more than a few cherries by the time I was done, easily over three stack's worth of the delicious fruits. And this is where the trouble started. Of note is that Silver, our Tailor, is our leader and also the cook for our little group. I provide the ingredients but he is the one that turns them into true deliciousness. He took two stacks of cherries and juiced them into cider, leaving one stack for baking, which he immediately set about doing. Eight cherries to a pie, sixty four cherries in total, sixteen lumps of rye dough, and two active ovens later, and there were a total of eight plump...juicy...warm...so tart and delicious pies...just sitting there... The Knave of Hearts, he stole the Tarts And took them clean away Of course, being the active hunter that I am, I need nourishment that is both filling and portable. Cherry Pies fit the bill oh so perfectly. And so I, innocent hunter that I am, asked if I could take some of the pies. Silver told me yes. Next thing, I was out the door with all eight of those pies squirreled away into one of my backpacks, jumping onto Prancer's back for my next adventure! And it was solely for the sake of adventure, not because I knew that Silver would notice the theft or anything like that, for certain! And if any of you know how that rhyme ends...well, that's another story and will be told another time.

"Why Blackguards need Eyepatches" of course

If we're going to name achievements after our own stories.... "I thought you were a bowtorn!" - Shoot a fellow team member in the back during multiplayer

Have you ever found a walnut seed in an underground dungeon?
Heart_Afire replied to Shv1sh's topic in Questions
Have you ever found a walnut seed deep in a dungeon underground? I ask because I am concerned about this seed I found It seems to be a walnut seed, nothing strange or bad But given where I picked it up I'm not sure what I have The caves are dark and dangerous, full of stone and rot So how can I be sure it is a Walnut seed I've got? I've considered planting it, perhaps quite far from base But if it's not for real then how far abroad is safe? And if it is a walnut seed, then I'd rather keep it close For walnut trees are quite my second favorite, after Oak I think that I will take the risk, and plant this seed tonight For if a walnut seed it is, the tree will quite delight But I will keep my falx quite close, for if walnut it is not Then something whispers in my soul I'll be dealing with the Rot -
Please don't, the last thing the world needs is a morbidly obese copper dragon. Themberchaud was bad enough. That said, if I do, the game should absolutely set my Seraph's voice to "Tuba".

"And I'm Free...Free Fallin": Die to Fall Damage while wearing a glider "YABBA DABBA DOO!": Kill a Drifter with a Wooden Club "Sticks to yer Ribs!": Eat a Meal that pauses hunger for more than 5 minutes "Ah, A Fellow Wizard!" : Hit Tobias with a Stick "What Year is It?": View the sign in the Village Well

So if we install this I can have some fun following one of my friends around with a Tuba, since he's always raiding our cellar?

In terms of a Percentage, BMI, or humorously teasing descriptor?

Okay, so what you want to do is go to the base folder, the one with ModInfo, Modicon, and Assets. Select all three of them at once, then right click to bring up the options. Select from whatever Zip program you are using...I use and recommend 7zip...and then select "Compress to [yourmodname].zip". That zip file should do the trick.

Yes, Tarts. Miniature Pies. Tiny bite-sized pieces of true and utter deliciousness. I want to request a mod that just adds tarts to the game. Just tiny pies, baked in the oven. Perfect for on-the-go snacking and keeping fruit fresh! In all seriousness, this is just a request for a silly mod because I have no earthly idea how to make a new shape, or I'd do it myself.

On a more serious note, what I would do if the player tries to use Starvation as a means of losing weight easily is take a leaf out of Minecraft's book: Starving yourself will in fact cause you to drop weight, but it only kicks in AFTER you've drained all your nutrients, and it causes a drain on your max health until you eat nutritious food. As someone who, due to a very messed-up intolerance (Chlorophyll) spends a lot of time in Ketosis...it's not pleasant, not one bit. I could absolutely see it causing major issues.

I can't remember if the Blunt/Piercing/Slashing thing is Vanilla or in Combat Overhaul, but if it's the former a high fat level could actually confer some level of resistance to slashing. Not a massive amount, nothing that would replace armor, but Roman Gladiators often tried to get a layer of fat around their belly because it made for a bloody wound that audiences loved, but that wouldn't threaten their viscera. The cold resistance is one, of course. There's also the fact that having fat does act as a store of calories, and so it should provide some defense against starvation. LOL, it could make you naturally buoyant, so you don't have to expend as much energy to swim. Could make you far less susceptible to any form of knockback I'm sure I can think of other things later on.

I enjoy the music but I find that even with my settings turned down it's often just too much for me. I have incredible hearing and being randomly blasted by the sound actually put me off the game for a bit when I first downloaded it a long time ago. That said, I've yet to hear a song in the game I truly hate.

So, does this mean I can finally have that slice you've been offering in your signature, even though my satiety is full? Jokes aside, I love the idea of this mod, and one thing I would add is that if you gain too much fat it cuts some other things, like mining speed or even attack speed. I haven't actually taken a look at the maths 'under the hood', so to speak, but you could likely tie it to the concept of BMI and add buffs and debuffs accordingly.

I'm moving this here just to keep it active and updated, since I really do want to finish this. This is supposed to be a mod that adds Dyed Fletching and Fletched Arrows into the game, as was discussed in the suggestions forum. I was working on it until just recently it started causing my singleplayer Creative world to crash when I tried to load it. And, to be honest, I'm a bit lost on some things. Update: Crash was fixed, but still having loads of other issues with shapes and textures. Here are the goals: 1) Create a set of items that the player can craft from feathers and dye most colors (Done, dyed fletching works) 2) Create a set of fletched arrows, with metal heads, craftable from said fletching 3) Make it so these arrows reflect said bright colors in their fletched ends when fired, for ease of location after firing. I've done a few odds and ends under the hood as well, but while I seemed to be doing alright, as mentioned, my latest build-test (posted below) just caused my game to crash. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated...and if anyone can help me figure out how to get the JSON entries to do the thing where they can just reference any color, I'd be overwhelmingly grateful, I know it's something utterly stupid that I'm overlooking. fletching-in-the-dye.zip

Bread vs Pie vs Porridge for consuming grain?

I did indeed! And then I made grits and put eggs, cheese, and bacon in them, because as a self-respecting Seraph from the Southern Lands, I know what makes a good breakfast porridge. -
They ran around, and then deserted it

Even if Barkcloth isn't added, I agree with MKMoose on this one. Bark has a ton of uses, and ignoring it just isn't good for me. Personally one thing I'd like to see added...in addition to the cork...would be the ability to use cheaper cloth like barkcloth to act as coverings or screens, even if only for cosmetic purposes.

Rest assured that I sure as [beep] ain't gonna sit this dungeon out...
