I completed the resonance archive recently, overcoming the boss through the subtle yet brilliant strategy of hurling myself at it until it was crushed beneath the sheer weight of Seraph corpses. I picked up every lore book I could find in the library as well as a couple of books and scrolls in other parts of the archive, but most of the stories in those books feel incomplete. I was thorough in my search of the various rooms, but I could plausibly have missed a nook or cranny in there somewhere, and I also didn't clue in on "bright teal book = can be read" until I actually reached the library.

Unfortunately I had to leave the books themselves behind as I had nowhere near enough inventory space to fit them, so even counting them up is a bit of a trick. I may someday return with sturdy leather and an Elk to get an accurate count and fill out my library.

This is my first world and I've been trying to avoid spoilers for places until I go there for the first time, but I'd like to know if I missed any lore books my first time through. Working from the journal, this is what I've got:

- Demetri's Notes*: two sections, three pages

- The Weight of Stone: eight sections, fifteen pages

- Admirer of the Miller: five (?) sections, fifteen pages

- The Patronage of Tibalt Amaro: five(?) sections, ten pages

- The Spy and the Sparrow: seven sections, thirteen pages

* I'm not sure if this one even came from the Archive, or was panned from bony soil

I'm pretty sure I could get the information I want from the wiki, but I'm deliberately avoiding the relevant wiki page because I don't want to be spoiled on any story details. I just want to know if I'm missing any sections and would need to go back to the Archive to get them.

It's random.   You can get all those lore books and more from panning bony soil.

Additionally, there's more lore contained in scrolls, tapestries, paintings and even the description of some clothing items.

You cannot get any of the RA-specific books from panning.

The RA-specific ones are:

-Admirer of the Miller
-The Spy and the Sparrow
-The Patronage of Tibalt Amaro
-The Weight of Stone

I did ultimately return to the archive and pick up a slew of missing lore books, including the conclusion to "The Spy and the Sparrow". Most of these were found after combing through the library shelves, but I also went through the rest of the archive chambers looking for lore books in back rooms I hadn't noticed on my first pass, and I believe I found at least one of my missing books there. I imagine the new particles for selectable books would have made this much easier than it was on 1.20, but that won't help for books stashed in ruined chests in the corner of some secret bedchamber.

If you can't find the last book in the library, it's probably tucked away somewhere else in the structure and you'll have to dig around for it.

Here is my updated and complete list of RA-exclusive books:

- The Weight of Stone: nine sections, eighteen pages

- Admirer of the Miller: ten sections, twenty two pages

- The Patronage of Tibalt Amaro: five sections, ten pages

- The Spy and the Sparrow: ten sections, seventeen pages

Thank you. That helps a lot. 🙂

I guess I'm going to go back with another stack of coal then - courtesy of Creative Mode, as I'm feeling like the Library hasn't played fair at this point.
I've already been through all of the side rooms many times, but I'll give it another go. I've already pretty thoroughly looted the rest of the Resonance Archive. If it is somewhere there . . . well, I don't really have a chance of finding it.

Regarding particles off of books:

Spoiler

I haven't noticed particles. But most of the Lore books get a glowing green spine in the Library.

I say "most" because a good number are NOT visible - I assume by design. In particular shelves with cobwebs on them or an apparently regular single book. You can only find these by hovering your mouse cursor over the shelf and right clicking to try and pick something up. I found a good few this way.

I haven't so far found any books hidden within a floor stack of books.

I have found books in collapsed chests and I think storage vessels - but can't recall if they were Aged lore books with story content.
