Hey all, not sure if this has been suggested before but I did a quick search and didn't see anything. Would love to be able to pin certain recipes to the hud from the handbook. Say I search for the recipe of a fruit press just as an example, I can click a button to pin the crafting grid recipe as a little image somewhere on my screen, so while I am crafting it I can easily make sure I'm actually doing the recipe correctly without having to reopen the handbook. Just thought it might be a nice little QOL thing.

Welcome to the forums, @Aislen

Can't you already do that one better? Have both the crafting grid and the handbook open at the same time? Just move them out of the way of each other? Don't do it often -- usually just for automation, and most of the time, not even then. Or has that part of the UI changed?

@Aislen When you have a window open in-game, ie the handbook and the inventory, if you click on the menu icon (the three lines) to the left of the X, you can choose "Moveable", then you can move the windows freely and have them side-by-side as suggested by Thorfinn

@Aislen welcome to the forum.

just to broaden the idea a bit, it would be nice to have notes of various kinds sticky'd on the screen.

i've tried using a book to jot down a few things, but the book still needs to be opened each time to read, and then closed while moving about.

think windows 11 has a sticky notes app, not sure if it will overlay the screen while in VS.  still, would be nice to have something like that native to VS

The usual suggestion I see pop up in this regard is a request to favorite particular handbook pages for quick access, or rather just have the handbook open back up to the page you were on. That way you can reference recipes more conveniently, without needing to look them up every time.
