Jarulf Posted March 31 Report Posted March 31 So, I've got myself a cute little big horn lamb. Presently she's in a pen, but I'm curious how you keep your sheep? If you've built something more advance than a pen, do you have a pic? I'm looking for inspiration.Â
ArgentLuna Posted March 31 Report Posted March 31 (edited) A variation on my barn design which is 5x4 Pens flanking a 3x4 pen for the Rams, 2 wide path and mirrored pattern. The Mk 1 Â This is the Mk 3 version The Mk 4 has a flat roof and no other function as its dariy is next door to it, the Mk 2 is huge and has my Pigs, Chickens and extensive storage but i have no good pics of it. MK3 looks pretty nice, I'm not very good at building but I may aim for something similar. I already have a small chicken coop which, while not perfect works fairly well. My pigs are out in the open in pens. All are early generations, though the chickens are getting there. 1

In 1.21 and earlier I found an ordinary large pen for females and adjacent small pen for the males was enough to keep and milk bighorns, but with sheep now inclined to flee the player like goats I've been trying to come up with a design that would keep each female confined to a small space (to facilitate milking) which the lambs would escape from, then could be lured back to replace their mother if they happen to be female. getting the lambs to fall through a one block hole in the ground is easy, allowing the adults to climb back up without subsequently escaping is more of a challenge, especially while trying to maintain an appropriate barn aesthetic instead of a Minecraft style industrial hell farm.Â
ArgentLuna Posted March 31 Report Posted March 31 The Mk 2: now with green house attachment the doors are to the chicken coop  The Mk 4: Sheepfold Lot of work still to be done on both as seen by all the dirt/ packed dirt but being a owner builder means your always building 2
