Melidebby Posted April 1 Report Posted April 1 What is the best way to store food like raw/cooked meat and berries? What is the longest anyone has been able to store food? Grain alone depending on where you place the basket I've gotten around 1 - 2 years.

Raw ingredients should be stored in a storage vessel in a cellar. Cooked ingredients are best stored in sealed crocks in a cellar when possible; otherwise, store them in storage vessels or shelves in the cellar. Pickling vegetables, salt-curing meats, and turning fruits into jams will extend the shelf life for a few years. 49 minutes ago, Melidebby said: What is the longest anyone has been able to store food? Really depends on the climate, the food type, how it's prepared and stored, and then what the player set the food spoilage rate to. 2
Nathan Flaminio Posted April 1 Report Posted April 1 Default starting area, 10 years on waxed cheddar in winter, 5 in summer. I think next is soybeans, peanuts, and pickeled/cured at 3.5 years. Then grains at 1.7ish (might have been summer) Mushrooms go about 1/2 year.
