Jubal Posted June 2 Report Posted June 2 I've just done the Resonance Archives for the first time! There are definitely some things I loved and some things I regretfully Very Much Did Not Love about the experience, but in any case, I have come across a sour ending - or possibly lack of an ending - in that I found several shelves with no books and I'm thus short several from my collection. I'm in SP so it's not a multiplayer issue of someone else getting there first, there's just no book. I have double-checked every shelf in the Archives to no avail. Is there a console command I could to spawn my remaining books or something? Help save my prospective library! Also if anyone has any bright ideas for carrying absurd quantities of loot I'd like to hear those too, I think it could take several ingame months to shift everything from my archives camp to my main base...
Nathan Flaminio Posted June 3 Report Posted June 3 Not every book is in the R.A. You'll find some in other locations and from panning bony soil. The CarryOn mod will let you fill a chest and put it on your back. You can carry another chest, but then you'll move very slowly. The Elk has space for saddle bags.
coolAlias Posted June 3 Report Posted June 3 My Resonance Archives were on top of a crazy tall and sheer icy plateau, in addition to the normal long distance from home. If you are not averse to a bit of time-saving via command, my recommendation is to note down the coordinates of the libary and your home, then use the /tp command in creative mode to move back and forth a few times while you pack everything up you want to take.

My understanding from the Wiki (https://wiki.vintagestory.at/Resonance_Archives#Library , para beginning "In total, the library contains ") is that the RA books form a complete subset: that is, non-RA book collections aren't found in the RA, and the RA books are only found therein. Is that not the case? I have found plenty of other books around the place

Your best bet is probably to regenerate the location via command, or at least part of it. Do note that doing so will respawn the boss and other enemies, but this can be solved by strategic applications of the admin blade. According to the wiki, the command you're looking for is /wgen regen 7, but if you float above the Echo Chamber's center(that's the big device in the center of the RA) then /wgen regen 3 should suffice. https://wiki.vintagestory.at/Resonance_Archives#Notes 18 hours ago, Jubal said: Also if anyone has any bright ideas for carrying absurd quantities of loot I'd like to hear those too, I think it could take several ingame months to shift everything from my archives camp to my main base... You could teleport via console commands, but if you want to do it without "cheating" then investing in a elk and saddlebags will make the job easier. There's also mods that you could use to increase backpack space, but you may not want to go that route since removing mods mid-playthrough can be dicey and you may not want to otherwise play with those mods either. Alternatively, you could embrace the challenge and build a road to the Archive as a potentially fun, interesting way to flesh out your world.
Solution MKMoose Posted June 3 Solution Report Posted June 3 (edited) On 6/2/2026 at 11:06 PM, Jubal said: Is there a console command I could to spawn my remaining books or something? Try this command: /giveitem lore-book-aged-orangebrown 1 s[] { category: "archives" } The book will automatically give you the next page you're missing from any series in the "archives" category, so you don't need to (and can't though it's possible) specify an exact piece of lore. Regarding customizing the command: Spoiler You can replace aged-orangebrown with other book flavors, from among: aged-orangebrown aged-orange aged-darkgreen aged-darkgray aged-cherryred aged-brickred aged-darkolive aged-darkbeige aged-olive aged-purpleorange aged-gray rotten-gray rotten-brown rotten-rust rotten-purple rotten-green or replace the entire lore-book-aged-orangebrown with lore-scroll or lore-paper. I think all book colors can be naturally found in the Archives, so you can probably choose any kind of assortment you like for the sake of visual variety, but you probably don't want the scrolls and papers in this case. For different categories of lore, you can also replace "archives" with: "jonas" "villager" "tobias" "research" "diaries" "wallcarving" and some other less important options. Use at your own risk if you don't want to get lore that you wouldn't find organically at your stage of the game. I'm not sure location regen per LadyWYT's comment would have helped: I tested a new world and there appears to be some persistent issue with some of the bookshelves (which I've duly bug reported).
