Nathan Flaminio Posted Sunday at 05:52 PM Report Posted Sunday at 05:52 PM I'd like to make the motherplant be permanent like a berry bush or fruit tree. Would setting the growthStages to 7 or changing the totalGrowthMonths to 9999 allow for this? Or is it something else entirely?
Streetwind Posted Sunday at 09:22 PM Report Posted Sunday at 09:22 PM Setting growthStages to 7 would just make it die without producing much yield at all. Increasing totalGrowthMonths technically works, but comes with the side effect that your plant will never grow in the first place. Pumpkin plants need to go through several stages just to reach the point where they can begin to grow vines. Pretty sure you can't get what you need with json file edits. But perhaps you can get an AI to vibecode you a solution. Just, like... don't put it on the modDB.
LadyWYT Posted Sunday at 09:24 PM Report Posted Sunday at 09:24 PM Just now, Streetwind said: But perhaps you can get an AI to vibecode you a solution. Just, like... don't put it on the modDB. Have to disagree here. Do put it on the database if you wish to share it with other users. Just make sure to tag it appropriately/disclose the AI use so that players can make a more informed decision.
Novadegree Posted yesterday at 12:05 AM Report Posted yesterday at 12:05 AM Maybe you could change the class to "BlockRequireFertileGround" instead of "BlockCrop"? I know there has to be more to it than that though, even if that would have anything to do with it to begin with.
